Solutia creates performance materials that are used primarily in the automotive and architectural, transportation and industrial markets. We have a strong portfolio of five businesses:
- Saflex® – Solutia is the world’s largest producer of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer, which is used in laminated glass.
- CPFilms® – Solutia is the world’s largest producer of window film, including the LLumar®, Vista® and Gila® brands.
- Nylon Plastic & Fiber – Solutia is one of the world’s largest fully integrated producers of nylon 66, with products including Vydyne® and Ascend® plastics and polymers, and Wear-Dated® and Ultron® carpet fiber.
- Flexsys® - Solutia is the world’s largest producer of chemicals for the rubber industry, with products including the Crystex® brand of vulcanizing agents.
- Specialty Products – Solutia’s portfolio of leading global brands includes Skydrol® aviation hydraulic fluid and Therminol® heat transfer fluid.
